My daughter, Kierra’s first holy communion celebration was truly a blast from the past, complete with a 1920’s “Downton Abbey style” communion ensemble.
The custom full length veil, and antique lace/brooch headpiece and hair jewelry by Bacio Bacio of Wellington, was edged with fabulous vintage beadwork, and took her vintage gown back almost a century in time.
We went with an English Garden theme, with decor by MB Custom Florals. The table, mixed lace + burlap with aged silver + mercury glass filled with bright assorted florals. Above it all, a ficus tree dripping in spanish moss, featured a hanging crystal chandelier.
The fabulous three-tiered communion cake, was created by Jennifer Johnson for Johnson’s Custom Cakes. Beneath the silver fondant rosary beads, were layers of white chocolate macadamia cake topped w.iced roses of varying shades, to compliment the dried lavender bouquet.
Following the ceremony at the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola in Palm Beach Gardens, an intimate gathering of family and friends celebrated with an afternoon garden brunch.
