{ megan + brett | harriet himmel theater wedding | the colony }

Megan + Brett’s festive holiday inspired wedding, was held in Mid-December at the historic Harriet Himmel Theater at City Place, built circa 1926.

This picture perfect couple was such fun to capture!!!

Earlier in the day, the bride and groom both readied at The Colony Hotel, one of Palm Beach’s premier boutique properties.

Megan’s makeup was flawlessly applied by Team Beauti.

Just loved her silver glitter bag and shoes, by Kate Spade.

Her bridesmaids dressed in blue chiffon gowns by Dessy, helped her into her gorgeous silk couture gown by Avant Mariée, from Bacio Bacio Bridal of Wellington.

The back of this was picture perfect.

Her custom headpiece, also from Bacio Bacio, was a focal point, and added just the right touch of flowery romance.

The bridal bouquet, created by Dream Makers by Rose Kish, featured calla lilies and winter white roses.

Once dressed, Megan’s mom, beautifully gowned hot pink, helped her on with her veil.

Before heading out, the bride gifted her mom with a triple pearl bracelet.

And her “dadio” with a pair of platinum cufflinks, a super sweet note…

And a kiss.

Followed by a special family moment.

Meanwhile, in a suite one floor above, the groom was getting into his tux, by Jos. A. Bank.

His mom helped him on with his boutonniere.

Then a handshake from dad…

And a toast with the boys.

The day began on a rainy note… so we braved the raindrops and headed into the Colony ballroom’s lovely marble foyer, until the storm subsided.

Here the bride was greeted by the precious little ones, in adorable gowns, again, by Bacio Bacio Bridal.

Then posed for some portraits.

Once the sun came out, Brett and they guys took some time for their own portraits.

Soon it was time for the first look.

Megan made her way thru the grand gates, with help from her maid of honor/sister.

She walked right into Brett’s arms.

The colony’s pool and historic buildings were so picturesque.

As was the private villa courtyard.

The bridal party joined in with some cheers.

As mom and dad looked on from above.

Molly’s Trolley arrived to shuttle the happy couple and the bridal party to City place.

After some time shooting at The Harriet, it was off for a treat at the yummy Sloan’s Ice Cream Parlor.

In no time, it was off to Holy Trinity Church, for the ceremony.

Megan meditated on her her last moments of single girl-hood…

Then headed for the alter.

Dad escorted his little girl down the aisle, and the nuptials began.

After a lovely ceremony, the newlyweds emerged.

As night fell, they trolleyed to the Harriet where cocktails and the reception were being held.

The entry hall was decorated with holiday bulbs, red roses, and an assortment of images from the couples beach front Ritz Carlton engagement shoot.

The reception space was awash in holiday inspired decor, and catered by Ovations Catering, headed by the amazing Doug Brown and Christine Politz.

Theatrical Masques donned the table settings.

The centerpieces, by Dream Makers, featured red roses, fir branches, and berries, and pink holiday bulbs.

The butter creme cake, created by Betty Baird for Sweet Tiers was wrapped in a fondant ribbon with a jeweled center, and topped with swarovski crystal monogram,

The night began with the couple’s first dance…

Dance with Dad…

And Grandpa…

And Mom…

As the night neared the end, CRAZY HOUR began, and the crowd got it’s second wind.

Then bouquets and garters were tossed.

And cakes were cut… including the Groom’s LSU inspired cake.

One last toast…

Then sparklers were lit, guests lined the stairs, and they made their grand exit.
