Theme: “SOMEWHERE IN TIME” Vintage | Subtheme: Literary Romance | Palette: Antique Pastels | Textures: Lace + Pearls + Burlap + Iron

Jenna + Justin’s vintage wedding took vintage DIY to new heights. It was a master class in how to tie in a bevy of stunning details and hands down the most intricate well thought out vintage themed event I have ever had the pleasure of shooting. (But it’s no wonder, the bride is a professional event planner.)

Their “Somewhere in Time” theme, held at The Harriet Himmel Theater, incorporated antique watch parts into the bouquets and boutonnieres, and larger gears into the table arrangements, all beautifully created by MB Custom Florals.

As if one theme were not enough of a challenge, they married it to a subplot of “Literary Romance Throughout the Ages.” Their stunning two tier timepiece inspired cake, was a masterpiece by A Piece of Cake by Elena, complete with 24k gold pocket watch, sat upon a gold gilded book cake. Antique typewriter, and heart shaped print confetti, greeted guests as they found their key tied place cards sending them to tables named after famous couples in literature. From Romeo + Juliet to Bella + Edward, to Minnie + Mickey… each couple’s names were creatively displayed on antique books at each meticulously decorated antique table. Speaking of Bella + Edward, the brides’ die for Manolo Blahnik White “Swan” Pumps, were literally straight out of Bella’s Twilight wedding. LOVE!!!! These works of art, complemented her Lazaro, lace pearl and tulle bottomed gown, birdcage veil, antique feathered hairpiece and vintage purse.
