{ grace + zongda | ritz-carlton battery park city | new york wedding photography }

The Ritz-Carlton Battery Park was the ideal backdrop for Grace and Zongda’s fall nuptials. The bride, was absolutely stunning in her Ines di Santo gowns. (yes, plural!!!) One for the ceremony, and one for the reception… each to die for, and accompanied by unique hair styles. Her blush palette was integrated into her eclectic room decor and her bridesmaids’ gorgeous Lazaro gowns.

The weather was picture perfect. For hours prior to the sunset ceremony, we had the most amazing time shooting along the water, in both Wagner and Battery Parks. The couple were so in love and every image told their story. They were an absolute delight to work with!

{ grace + zongda | ritz-carlton | battery park city | chinese tea ceremony }

Grace + ZongDa began their wedding day dressing for their chinese tea ceremony. The bride dressed in red silk, and coiffed to perfection, awaited her groom to be, as he had to answer question and perform tasks before he could enter. A traditional tea ceremony with their parents followed.

Stay tuned for Part II… { a white wedding } to come!

{ jacki + steve | glen island harbour club | wedding }

Jacki + Steve’s New York wedding overlooking Long Island Sound, at Glen Island Harbour Club took place on a wonderfully windy winter day.

The couple braved the chill, while exploring the historic 19th century Glen Island Castle.

This beautiful landmark castle was built in 1879.

The castle originally built in Germany was shipped to the states then reconstructed stone by stone.

Earlier that day, the two readied at bride and groom’s suite’s in the Harbour Club.

The bridesmaids rust bouquets, were a welcome pop of color, in this black and white themed wedding.

And looked great with the brides white calla lily creation, by the Arcadia Floral Company.

The bride looks on as her bridesmaids help her ready…

Dad stops by for a quick kiss from his little girl…

Then on with the strappy gold sandals…

Followed by a bouquet delivery from her beautiful flower girl…

Mom assisted with the finishing touches as she put the veil on her daughter…

Then the girls looked out on the water, deciding whether or not it was too cold to venture out in their little black strapless dresses.

Meanwhile, over in the groom’s suite. Steve was reading the heartfelt card his bride-to-be sent over.

Then he and the boys got ready for the big day.

Once dressed and looking dapper, Steve posed for a portrait by the fireplace.

Jacki also headed out for some portraits of her own… but the cold proved prohibitive.

But not before, this dreamy windblown shot was captured.

On the backside of the club, the groom was waiting, with his ocean blue eyes, on the waterfront for the first look.

Steve and his brothers…

Were soon joined by the rest of the groomsmen.

The little ring bearers showed some love.

Mom straightened his boutonniere…

Then Dad and his brothers stopped for a quick formal…

as the girls came their way.

Here Steve awaits the big reveal…

He turns, for a kiss…

Then lifts his soon2b bride with joy.

As the bridesmaids look on.

Before heading back indoors, the bridal party cheers on one last romantic dip.

Here Dad shares a touching moment with his daughter, prior to the ketubah signing.

Once the ketubah was signed.

The groom veiled his bride… and adjourned to the ceremony.

The ring boys traveled down the aisle, with pillows in hand…

And the flower girl dropped petals in preparation for the bride’s much anticipated entrance.

Steve looked on as Jackie entered, escorted by her dad…

A tear filled moment followed, as the father of the bride gave his little girl away.

Rings were exchanged, as the lovely ceremony neared the end.

The newlyweds exited grinning ear to ear…

As guests were ushered into the lavish cocktail hour.

The two shared a toast with their cool signature drinks…

“Steve-o-mojito” meet “Kopf-mopolitan”…

The reception space, was windowed on all sides, and overlooked the water.

The wedding cake was a stunning, bowed creation…

And the super creative “hunt is over” groom’s cake, and custom statuette, would make the NRA proud.

After a series of fun entrances, the new Mr. + Mr. Alfano entered.

After the first dance…

The horah followed…

Wine was served…

The callah was cut…

Speeches were made…

Honor dances were had…

The band played…

and special young guests performed.

Then the Anniversary dance, gifted the bouquet to the oldest bride and groom in the room, as they shared a dance with the newlyweds.

Cakes were cut…

And an amazing dessert spread was set up.

The bride fed the groom some Italian pastry…

And the groom returned the favor, with a dipped berry, hand made from the chocolate fondue fountain.

As guests departed, they were treated to take-out-coffee and hot-baked pretzels for the trip home, while awaiting valet.

Still indoors, Steve made his way over to the white baby grand, and serenaded his new wife with a song… well, sort of.

Then the exited up the fabulous staircase.

For one last goodnight kiss beneath the moonlight.

{ annie + brad | ny botanical gardens | old stone mill }

Annie + Brad’s wedding at New York Botanical Garden‘s historic Old Stone Mill (built circa 1840) was a wonderfully charming affair.

The super cute couple were all smiles and laughter throughout the day…

The Peggy Rockerfeller Rose Garden was the stunning setting for their first look.

Earlier in the day, Annie readied at her parent’s Upper West side residence overlooking the park.

Love this find… the custom ring nest was a great touch.

As the bride’s makeup was being applied…

Her bridesmaids got her beautiful Robert Bullock gown ready for her to dress.

The custom “bride” hanger was also from

Once in her gown, mom helped her daughter on with her cathedral veil.

The bride and her girls gazed out at the city.

Then headed to the rooftop for an even better view.

This vintage railed staircase offered me my “favorite” shot of the day…

What a coincidence, that the blue walls were the exact color of the J.Crew bridesmaids dresses.

Meanwhile, next door at the Excelsior Hotel, Brad and his guys were “tie-ing” things up…

Then went to the planetarium’s park for a few quick photo ops.

Up on the roof..

the bridesmaids and Annie had an amazing bird’s eye view of NYC.

Once at the Botanical Gardens, Brad awaited his bride-to-be…

And got a kiss from their adorable flower girl, in the interim.

Speaking of flowers, OMG!!! this bridal bouquet of pink peonies, created by Surroundings Flowers and Events are to die for.

This picturesque window at the Old Stone Mill, had the ultimate light streaming through, and made for a great photo moment.

Soon, Annie and the girls, headed towards the Rose Garden, for the big reveal.

But first, a moment with the flower girl…

And her little sis…

As Brad waited…

Annie hurried toward the magnificent gardens…

And right into Bradley’s arms!!!

They shared a kiss by the gazebo…

And throughout the gardens.

As their photo session came to a close, guests arrived in preparation for their riverside ceremony at the Old Stone Mill.

Annie and her dad shared a tender moment before he walked her down the aisle.

And presented her a beautiful antique bible, a family heirloom.

Before heading down the aisle, the groom’s mom straightened his boutonniere, and dad wished him well.

And the ceremony began…

The string trio played the wedding march…

As Brad and his groomsmen made their way towards the rivers edge.

The cocktail hour and reception were held at the Lillian and Amy Goldman Old Stone Mill.

As the newlyweds peeked in on the fabulous space, and cocktail hour, catered by Abagail Kirsh, guests enjoyed the fab food.

Annie and Brad headed into their reception… coordinated to perfection by Abigail Kirsch’s Paul Richards.

They danced…

Laughed uncontrollably at toasts…

Shared dances with loved ones…

Tossed the bouquet…

Took to the floor…

And cut the cake…

Then ended the night with a quite stroll as husband and wife.
