Brazilian Court

Christina + Nicholas’ Palm Beach wedding at Café Boulud was just fabulous!!!! The stunning couple readied at The Brazilian Court. The bride was a vision in a lace and silk organza couture creation by Lazaro, shoes by Valentino, and earrings and headpiece by Maria Elena. The groom, from “across the pond” was equally dapper in a designer navy tux.

Bridesmaids wore rose chiffon, each tied in a different style, with pastel wildflower bouquets.

The couple exchanged vows at St. Ann Catholic Church, and exited as guests bid them a farewell with throwing environmentally safe birdseed from little “toss me” sacks.

Following the nuptials,  guests enjoyed cocktails on the at Café Boulud veranda and around the fountain, as they awaited the newlyweds. The reception, managed by Theresa Valiante for Café Boulud, featured combined woodsy driftwood ceiling installation, and pastel centerpieces combining branches with crystal and gold candelabras.

Their “America meets UK” theme was super fun, and incorporated in their signature drinks, as well as in their hand made british style card box, photo booth props, and late night snack décor.

Cassandra + George took flight from California to Palm Beach for their beautiful “wing inspired” vintage wedding. The intimate affair was held at The Brazilian Court in Palm Beach. The courtyard ceremony began with an angelic flower girl, complete with feathered wings. The reception was held at Café Boulud, and the vintage details were meticulously crafted, mostly by the bride herself, to give the event just the right touch of “old world charm.” The single blossom wedding cake, was understated and elegant. Florals were created by Xquisite Events, the hues of antique pastels worked perfectly with the fabulous taupey-lilac bridesmaids gowns.

Earlier in the day, the bride got ready at the historic Breakers in Palm Beach, and the groom prepped nearby at the stylish Omphoy Ocean Resort.

{ vintage teddy bear tea party | café boulud | palm beach | kierra’s 6th birthday }

A “Vintage Teddy Bear Tea Party” in honor of my daughter Kierra’s 6th birthday, was recently held at the fabulous Café Boulud at the historic Brazilian Court in Palm Beach.

The only thing more fun than shooting a “posh tots” party, is styling and planning one!

The event was coordinated to perfection, by catering manager, Emily Marrah and her top-notch Café Boulud staff.

The breathtaking florals, vintage decor and table scape, was creative courtesy of MB Florals by Marjorie Bennett and her amazing team. (thank you, ladies!)

Each of the eighteen young guests had their own place card at the royal table, and when it was time for seating, they made their grand entrance individually… “Introducing, Lady Asha!”, etc. until all the girls were in place.

The five-tier fondant birthday cake, was a work of art… (almost too beautiful to eat) it featured a tea cup at the top filled with chocolates, spiraling with sweets.

Alongside it, a mini tea-pot cake, complete with marzipan Teddy Bears and sugar roses.

Each chair was sashed with pink and gold silk organza bows. Antique hued pastel flowers, unique vase installations, and vintage linens adorned the tabletops.

Outside on the enclosed veranda, craft tables were set up where the girls could create their own scrapbooking pages, and craft little custom teapot favors, with help from their mommies.

The invitations was a triple stack of tea cups, with pull out teabag shaped linen inner invites, encouraging the young ladies to attend wearing their best vintage inspired tea party attire.

Okay… how cute are these little ceramic dancing teapots and saucers???

The fact that each girl had her own unique antique teacup, enhanced the eclectic feel of the table.

Beneath each setting, sat an ivory lace doily, and each napkin was wrapped in a pearl ring with silk organza ribbon running thru.

A customized “honey favor” accompanied each plate.

The “gift” table was filled with antiques and featured a custom banner, and some very beautifully wrapped gifts. What a terrific idea… wrapping the present in newspaper and adding a feather bow.

Once the space was set, the birthday girl took one last look in the mirror before her guests arrived.

Then sits at the door ready to greet her guests. Who to her amazement, seemed to all arrive at once. “Mommy, I almost fainted when I saw how many of my friends came… for me!!!”

Yummy Hors d’oeuvres were hand passed as the mommies did crafts with their daughters.

Once the girls were seated at the royal table, a berry bowl was served, followed by gourmet tea sandwiches, lobster, mini monte cristos, cucumber, egg salad, salmon, served on assorted breads

Cranberry and Lemonade Beverages were served in antique jam jars, with covers and flagged straws.

After the luncheon, the kids had a ball tasting the confectionary delights by Café Bouluds five star pastry chefs, who also created the amazing cake.

Waters “to go” were given out at the door, along with take home bags for all their party swag.

A group portrait of all the young “ladies who lunch.”

Earlier in the day, arriving guest were given an agenda, and escorted to the veranda.

There was an “Adopt-a-Bear” station. Where each girl got to select a uniquely dressed vintage bear, to name and adopt as her very own. Special thanks to my mother Gayle, aka: “Nanny,” who spent weeks lovingly decorating and dressing each bear by hand.

They even received their own certificate of adoption.

There was a Vintage Boutique Dress up Station, which contained custom tea party hats, opera gloves, pearls, vintage jewelry, purses, scarves dresses, fans, and hair accessories.

An oh-so-girly antique vanity was nearby, to complete the ambiance.

The girls had an absolute ball, and kept changing hats, jewelry and more throughout the party.

Even the mommies got in on the dress-up fun.

Some even picked out fun hats for their mommy-daughter portraits, captured by my associate Mary.

While other mom’s were busy helping their little girls create fun tea-inspired projects at the craft tables.

Later, after dessert was ravenously consumed, the girls organized gift opening.

Each girl found their present, and came up the the antique velvet bench to sit beside the birthday girl, as they opened their cards and gifts together.

Kierra graciously thanked each guest their gift and for coming and posed for a portrait with them.

As the last of her guests departed…

My little birthday girl tossed a coin in the fountain, making one last birthday wish.

A teeny bit sad that her big day was over (not to mention tired) she collapsed on a nearby chaise lounge…

When it was time to go, she gave her new teddy bear a kiss…

Then tucked him in to his vintage carriage and they headed for home…

Another year older.

{ katherine + michael | brazilian court | society of the four arts | palm beach wedding photography }

Katherine + Michael’s destination wedding took place at The Brazilian Court Hotel & Beach Club in Palm Beach, one of the Leading Hotels of the World. It was the epitome of elegance.

The Society of the Four Arts gardens made for a beautiful portrait setting.

Love those doors and antique wishing well.

Earlier in the day, the bride readied at “The Brando Suite.”

The bridal bouquet of white peonies, created by Tom Mathieu was just stunning.

These sparkling platform Jimmy Choo’s are to die for.

Katherine’s makeup was artfully applied by top NY makeup artist Suresh, who used his own self named line, laced with 24k pure gold, to perfect the bride’s lips, shown bottom right.

Her Kate Spade bridesmaids gifts were all in a row.

Her sister and soon to be sister-in-law, helped her on with her gorgeous Monique Lhuillier gown.

Mom stopped by to help her daughter on with her cathedral length veil.

Then it was time for “something new”…

Her faux bling was quickly removed, and replaced by these fabulous diamond tear drops, custom designed by her BridesMan, Zameer.

On with the shoes…

Grab the bouquet…

And viola….

Picture Perfect!!!

Over in the groom’s suite, his boys showed him some love, and helped him ready.

Here the debonaire groom adjusts his cuffs, in Bond-like fashion. Love the Cartier watch.

Then his groomsmen toast his impending nuptials… (in TEAL dinner jackets… apparently a private joke of some sort).

Here Michael shares a special moment with his mom.

Then heads out for the first look.

And Katherine got one last touch-up, adjusted her veil and she too was off to meet her other half.

Their reaction to one another was teary.

Following the reveal, the couple and their Bridal Party got together for some portraits.

Okay, guys… ready, set… Model!!!

The scenery at The Society of The Four Arts Gardens was just beautiful.

The ceremony was set up in the courtyard at the Brazilian Court.

Strings played…

Friend’s sang…

The bride and her dad shared a smile before their trip down the aisle.

The groom waited in anticipation.

As the Father of the Bride escort his little girl into his arms.

Vows were promised…

Rings were exchanged…

“You may kiss the bride”…

And the new Mr. + Mrs. Kessler were on their way…

Guests enjoyed an amazing cocktail hour in Café Boulud’s fountained courtyard.

The intimate reception was orchestrated by Café Boulud’s Director of Catering, Emily Marrah, and her 5-star staff.

The night was filled with lots of heartfelt moments… from Dances to speeches.

Later, as the party got rocking’ guest took to the floor w/ the newlyweds and got wild.

Following dinner, a home-made Italian Cookie bar was set up..

And the 4-tier white and gold fondant cake was cut, and served.

As the night ended, the two stole away and shared this sweet private moment.

A perfect end to a perfect evening.
